What are we looking for?

  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex data and build a persuasive commercial case for action.

  • A solid technical SEO foundation and enough depth to interrogate audits, guide specialists, identify risk and ensure recommendations are feasible for product and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrable experience building integrated organic strategies across technical SEO, content, authority and the full customer journey rather than focusing only on top-of-funnel traffic.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, including KPI design, forecasting, opportunity sizing and connecting organic performance to business outcomes.
  • Experienced people manager who can delegate, QA, mentor and give clear feedback while creating accountability and progression for the team.
  • Proficiency with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog or other enterprise crawlers, Ahrefs or Semrush and experience with AEO or AI-visibility tooling such as Profound.
  • Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, regulated industries, YouTube SEO, digital PR or community-led search is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience designing and improving operational workflows, not just managing individual deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of how AI, automation and LLMs can support research, analysis, content, reporting and quality assurance.
  • Experience implementing structured project-management practices across complex, multi-stakeholder programmes.
  • Ability to balance innovation with governance, ensuring AI-enabled outputs remain accurate, secure, explainable and client-ready.
