SEO Account Manager

 

Join our dynamic marketing agency as a SEO account manager, you will need to be an all-rounder, reporting to the SEO Account Director and US Business Manager, the successful candidate will support in the creation and implementation of SEO strategies. The goal varies upon workstreams but all ladder up into increasing organic visibility and revenue for a large Fintech client. This role comes with a level of autonomy, managing workstreams which fit into the wider SEO strategy. For this we require a candidate with strong client facing and project management skills. The role will include mentoring and upskill more junior members of our team.

What does the role involve?

  • Work closely with senior account managers/account directors and/or business managers to ideate, implement and report on SEO strategies.
  • Support in client contact, this includes supporting in client meetings and other communications.
  • Presenting work both internally and externally, to clients with varying level of SEO knowledge and experience.
  • Independently manage work streams including the delivery deadlines for themselves and more junior members of the team.
  • Provide structured feedback to junior team members of the team to support their growth.
  • Assist in client-side activation: working within CMS systems to directly implement and adjust SEO recommendations for performance
  • Conduct regular and thorough audits, including but not limited to competitive analyses, content gaps, search behaviour analyses, and business casing to highlight optimisation gaps and opportunities for our clients.
  • Identify and communicate technical SEO issues effectively to clients at all levels.
  • Reporting experience, focusing on the ‘why’ rather than just the ‘what’ and sharing these details with relevant stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

  • 3 year’s SEO experience minimum, preferrable at an agency.
  • Previous experience with team management.
  • Clear passion for SEO and digital marketing.
  • Pride in their work and always strives to improve.
  • Strong attention to details, well organised and can manage their workload effectively.
  • Ability to maintain project management software and trackers for internal and external progress status and reporting.
  • Proficient using a range of SEO tools including Screaming Frog (and other enterprise crawlers), GSC, analytics platforms, Ahrefs & SEMrush.
  • Has basic knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Previous experience working with popular CMS’s such as WordPress or Contentful.
  • Solid technical SEO foundations with a broad understanding of; crawl and index controls, hreflang, page speed, crawl error detection and fixes and more.
  • Advanced understanding of on-page SEO and can provide thorough complete recommendations on how to optimise new and existing pages.
  • Experience with E-E-A-T preferred but not required.
  • A broad understanding of off-page ranking factors.
  • Can contribute to SEO thought leadership both internally and externally.
