What does the role involve?
- Works closely with the Account Director to develop and deliver SEO strategies across the full funnel
- Senior client contact day to day, comfortable leading calls, presenting recommendations, and managing briefs through to delivery
- Manages deadlines and quality across their own workload and junior team members, keeping client expectations in check throughout
- Mentors and develops junior team members through regular 1-2-1s, structured feedback and bespoke training where needed
- Strong technical SEO foundations across crawl and index controls, hreflang, page speed, JavaScript-heavy platforms and more, able to communicate issues clearly to both SEO specialists and senior non SEO stakeholders.
- Advanced understanding of on-page SEO, able to deliver thorough optimisation recommendations for new and existing pages, with an awareness of E-E-A-T principles
- Solid understanding of off-page ranking factors and how to build brand authority over time
- Reporting experience that focuses on the why, not just the what
- Working knowledge of GEO and how AI-driven search is changing content discovery, with an interest in developing this further
- Broad understanding of wider digital disciplines and how they interact with organic search
- Contributes to SEO thought leadership internally and has an appetite to do so externally
What are we looking for?
- 4+ year’s SEO experience minimum preferrable at an agency.
- Management experience preferred but not required.
- An individual who can highlight and show a clear passion for SEO and digital marketing.
- An individual who takes pride in their work and always strives to improve.
- Strong attention to details, well organised and can manage tasks and their workload effectively.
- Proficient using a range of SEO tools including Screaming Frog (and other enterprise crawlers), GSC, analytics platforms, Ahrefs & SEMrush.
- Has experience working on a range of platforms such as; WordPress, Shopify, Magento etc.
- Has basic knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS.
