What does the role involve?

REPORTING TO: Head of Organic

LOCATION: Fully Remote, East Coast (Hubble temp office space facilities available)

The Account Director is responsible for analysis, implementation, and oversight of SEO initiatives for our global organic accounts.

We are looking for an all-rounder, someone with strong technical foundation, excels in content and has experience with off-page (auditing and understanding).

The Account Director will report directly to the Head of Organic but will also work closely with client leads on accounts. Their role will cover non-SEO responsibilities such as account P&L management, resourcing, client communications and operation tasks.

  • Being agile and able to work across multiple clients/projects.
  • Senior point of contact, expected to work directly with client stakeholders.
  • Manage client communications across multiple levels and is comfortable leading SEO calls to c-suite level contacts.
  • Can effectively take client leads briefs, turning these into deliverables, scoped hours and future workstreams.
  • Driving force behind before our clients SEO initiatives from ideation through to implementation and reporting.
  • Manage the delivery and quality of deliverables across the team setting high standards whilst striving to improve processes and output.
  • Work closely the Head of Organic and other departments to develop and grow our clients and internal SEO team.
  • Business development support.
  • Team mentoring including providing regular feedback, performance reviews and goal setting.
  • Advanced technical SEO understanding
  • Experience managing SEO lead content workstreams from initial strategy, ideation through to implementation and reporting.
    1. Experience with E-E-A-T preferred but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of off-page ranking factors and can develop tactics to grow brand authority.
  • Understanding of wider digital disciplines, how they interact and impact SEO.

What are we looking for?

  • 5 year’s SEO experience minimum preferrable at an agency.
    • Management experience required.
  • A clear passion for SEO and digital marketing.
  • Fluent in English
  • A second language is desirable but not a requirement
  • Strong attention to details, well organized and can manage tasks and their workload effectively.
  • Proficient using a range of SEO tools including Screaming Frog (and other enterprise crawlers), GSC, analytics platforms, Ahrefs & SEMrush.
  • Has experience working on a range of platforms such as; WordPress, Shopify, Magento etc.
  • Has a working understanding of HTML and CSS and a basic JavaScript understanding.
