SEO Senior Account Executive

As an SEO Senior Account Executive, it’ll be your job to help maximise performance for clients and support the Account Manager in delivering SEO and content projects.

What does the role involve?

You will support the Account Manager in the creation, implementation and management of SEO strategies, primarily for one of our largest clients working in the food delivery industry. You’ll be expected to get stuck in and assist with SEO strategy and processes, the day-to-day running of the account, and help to identify and contribute towards new business opportunities.

The role fits in to two core areas:

You’ve got a passion for all things SEO and you want to get better at it. No matter what the task, you’re keen to learn new things and develop. You’ll be expected to understand and implement SEO best practice, including competitor research, keyword research, technical optimisation and content creation, all in the pursuit of client goals.

While not a primary objective, you’re aware of the commercial nature of agency life and you might even have a few ideas for new client or upsell opportunities. (What’s more, you’re confident enough to tell someone about them.)

Supporting account management
SEO is your thing but you’re also excited to learn how accounts are managed, how progress is measured and reported, and how client relationships are maintained.

Successful account management is grounded in good communication; you’ll be expected to relay all relevant activity to clients and internal stakeholders. You will enjoy the organisational challenge of juggling multiple stakeholder-needs, projects and workflows. You’ll be comfortable arranging meetings, prioritising queries or issues, and meeting internal and external deadlines. As your expertise grows, you’ll increasingly champion internal knowledge sharing and process development.

What are we looking for?

As an SEO Senior Account Executive, we expect you to have a good understanding of the SEO and organic landscape.

You’ve got a good knowledge of SEO best practice, you are curious about industry trends and excited by the impact it has on client success. You’re keen to develop your craft, eager to learn from your peers and will take the initiative when the opportunity arises. You’re efficient, organised and timely in your work.

Some of the experience we would expect to see for this role includes:

  • 1- 2 years experience within an SEO role – agency, media owner or client-side experience is preferable
  • Solid understanding of website data and analytics tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog
  • Sound technical knowledge and experience running technical audits of websites
  • Clear understanding of the dynamics between KPIs and the ability to comment on performance fluctuations
  • Ability to digest client briefs, start projects and present work in a clear and compelling way
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Fluent written and spoken English
